Hello, movie fans! Welcome to FantasyMoguls.com, where you can play fantasy games for movies. Think you can do a better job of picking hit movies than the studios? Now's your chance to prove it. It works like fantasy football or baseball, except you draft movies instead of sports players.
It's
easy, fun and free to play:
- You can create a private league and invite your friends (2-8 players per league), or you can join a public league.
- From there, you'll draft your "slate" of six movies for your season. You can either participate in a live draft or pre-rank your movies (your top available movie will automatically be drafted in each round).
- Standard seasons include Spring (Feb. 15-Apr. 30), Summer Marathon (Feb. 15-Oct. 1), Summer Blockbuster (May 4-Oct. 1) and Holiday Blockbuster (Oct.-Jan.), but you can also set the start and end dates for your season yourself.
[It's not too late to play the Spring season, you just won't be able to draft movies which have already been released - there are still plenty of movies available to draft!]
Scoring depends upon which type of league you're in:
- Box Office Moguls (Basic game): Scoring is based entirely upon the total domestic gross for your movies.
- Ultimate Moguls (Advanced game): Scoring is based upon four criteria –- total domestic gross, per-theater average, IMDb user review score, and weeks in the box-office Top 5.
Find out more information about scoring and drafting on our How To Play page. Go ahead, we'll still be here when you get back.
